Pullman Hotel St. Pancras Official Opening
The Pullman Hotel in St. Pancras celebrated its official opening last week and asked me to design an Art room in one for their bedrooms for the event.
I sculpted life-size wall hanging portraits of Oliver Twist due to its proximity to 48 Doughty Street where Charles Dickens lived and wrote the novel. The sculptures can be viewed on my previous post.

Oscar Wilde's 159th Birthday at the Cadogan Hotel, London
On the anniversary of Oscar Wilde's birth this year, Gyles Brandreth decided to gather a group of cheery actors, journalists and political types of all persuasions to the Cadogan Hotel. Aside from the Perrier-Jouët champagne sipping, Julie Walters, Ken Livingstone, Rachel Johnson and Ian Hislop started an impromptu rendition of Happy Birthday, before Joanna Lumley stood up to read John Betjeman's poem, The Arrest of Oscar Wilde at The Cadogan. It was Wilde.
From Tatler online.
For the event I sculpted a 3/4 life portrait of Oscar Wilde to be on permanent display at the Cadogan Hotel. We again marked the occasion by the annual awarding of my miniature sculpture of Wilde to a person whose life-enhancing qualities exemplify the spirit of the great man. Last year it went to his only grandson Merlin Holland and this year was awarded to Joanna Lumley OBE.
